Machine room
- Machine, motor and gearbox: noise, vibration, oil level, leaks
- Brake operation: gap, lining wear, spring tension
- Controller cabinet: clean, dust-free, ventilation ok
- Wiring terminations and contactor contacts inspected
- Governor: rope condition, sheave grooves, switch operation
- Emergency lighting and shunt-trip tested
Hoistway
- Rails, brackets, fishplates — fixings tight, alignment ok
- Travelling cable: securing, condition, no chafing
- Limit and final limit switches operated
- Hoistway lighting and convenience outlets
- Counterweight guides and clearance
- Buffers: oil level (hydraulic) or spring condition
Car & door
- Door operator: timing, force, kinetic energy check
- Door reopening device (light curtain / detector) tested
- Door tracks and rollers cleaned
- Interlocks engagement at every floor
- Car-top inspection station and stop switches
- In-car alarms, intercom / phone two-way test
- Floor levelling accuracy at each landing
Pit
- Pit clean, dry, free of debris
- Pit stop switch, light, GFCI receptacle
- Buffers and clearances
- Sump pump / drain operational (where present)
Documentation
- On-site MCP log updated this visit
- Photos attached for any deficiency
- Open items from previous visit closed or carried forward
- Notify AHJ if life-safety issue identified
